Angel Alert: Immediate need for Legal assistance...

Imagine for a moment that your teenage daughter wakes up in the morning and leaves for school just as she had hundreds of times before. And imagine learning that on that particular morning, your daughter, the 4.0 student, never actually makes it to class... In fact, she doesn't come home after school either. Frantically you search about, trying to find out where she'd gone,  and you find out that a man - one who had served time for for having improper relations with a minor, had been released from his incarceration and could be seen on camera picking your daughter up from the school that morning...

Imagine calling the Police Department and the FBI, only to have them treat you as though you were over-reacting. Imagine having them tell you that your daughter had probably just "run away" with the man and there was little they could do.

Imagine having to fight just to get the word out that something had happened. Imagine the pain as the days, and weeks, and months rolled by. Imagine investigating on your own and learning that the man had stolen a car that morning, - the same car they got into on the camera - and that that car could later be seen on camera crossing into Mexico. Imagine officials finally releasing a Missing Child poster, but still not identifying her as having been kidnapped.

Imagine that more than a year afterwards, the same officials, who never took the abduction seriously and only half-heartedly investigated, began suggesting that you might need to accept the unacceptable...

Now imagine that after hiring your own private investigator with your own funds, you learn that your daughter is in fact, still alive...

This is not just a random series of hypothetical situations... This is an all too real situation afflicting a dear friend of mine. She needs help. She has been searching for an Attorney for a very long time and while some have come and gone (along with the media), she is closer than ever to finding her daughter and the need has never been greater. If you, or someone you know, is an Attorney, licensed to practice in the State of California, and you would be willing to at least hear her out and decide what help if any you could offer, please - send me an email by clicking HERE and I will get you in immediate contact with the mother...

Thank you Angels: A Christmas update on the Little Family

I just visited with Jorge DelTorre a short while ago and he gave me a quick update on the status of the Little Family.

On Christmas day, the Little family received an ENTIRE TRAILER full of gifts and needed supplies from generous people all across the country. The account set up to received monetary donations now has a $9,800.00 balance. Employees of Sedgwick County donated an additional $5,000.00 to the family. And they also received nearly a thousand dollars worth of gas and fuel cards. They have received hundreds of phone calls and prayers from across the country, and items are still being received.

"This" is what Christmas is all about. Heartfelt thank to all of our readers who called, sent items, or simply passed on the story to someone else. Collectively, you have brought real joy to a family in distress. May God bless each of you in all of your endeavours...

Angels Needed: please remember the Little family...

Robert Little works for the Sedgwick County Public Works department as a traffic technician. He hired on with the county less than two years ago, but has earned a reputation as conscientious and hard worker. Unfortunately, Robert Little and his family have been beset with a flurry of recent tragedies leaving them in great need of compassion and assistance. And as we enter this season of giving, I felt compelled to share their story in the hopes that we might bring some relief and aid to this family in need.

Shortly after hiring on with the County, the Little family suffered the death of their six year old daughter. Then on April 2nd, 2008 one of their 2 year old twin sons (Josiah) was diagnosed with Lymphocytic Leukemia. On December 2nd, Josiah contracted a virus which led to a staff infection. The infection led to the development of Toxic Shock Syndrome affecting his gallbladder, which has since been removed. In his efforts to help his family get through these crises, Robert has had to take time away from work and has long since used up the vacation and sick time he had accrued. So even as they deal with the painful issues of death and illness, Robert is currently going without pay.

Then, last Monday, December 15th, a house fire destroyed their home and their vehicle. Their home, which had been dedicated to them by Habitat for Humanity, is now untenable.

One family; dealing with the loss of a child, a diagnosis of leukemia for another, the loss of income, and this week, losing all their possessions, home, and vehicle in a house fire. Their children's toys are not salvageable. All of their clothing is damaged. The Littles are currently divided/having to stay at three different locations, apart from one another, since their home is not livable.

Please consider making a donation to this family in need. The family is humbled, but spiritually strong. The parents have asked for nothing, but with encouragement, have helped us come up with a list of needs:
